Summit on scalable business model for Islamic Microfinance

Microfinance Focus, October 18, 2011: Hansonwade’s Summit on scalable business models for Islamic Microfinance will be held from January 30 to February 1, 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey. The Summit will focus on identifying the potential business models available and their challenges.
During the three day Summit, MFIs, investors, policy makers and Sharia specialists will come together to explore Islamic Microfinance business models in practice. Tijara, USAID, Akhuwat, Al-Amal Microfinance Bank, Tanzania eco-Volunteerism and CWCD will share their projects.
The conference will further assess the role of the Islamic Development Bank and state banks across the globe in advancing Islamic Microfinance.
Mohammed Khaled, Regional Representative, Middle East and North Africa CGAP, Zubair Mughal, Chief Executive Officer, AlHuda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics, Ranya Abdel Baki, Chief Executive Officer, Sanabel and H.E Dr Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President, Islamic Development Bank are some of the distinguished speakers in the conference.
